richard jack smith was my uncle and he was one of the best uncles i could of asked for,richard died in june 2007
he was 56 years old
he worked in charlton village and a nights watchmen/security for 10 years
he left behind 2 brothers eddie and allan and a sister linda who he lived with,he had a son jason and a daughter jackie,jason had too children which made richard happy that he had too grandchildren,
richard got diaognosed with lung cancer in april 2006 and got told he had a year to live and that it was irrecurable so he didnt have any kemo,
richard also had a broken ankle for 4 years and always had to walk on a crutch,richard was an alcoholic and that had the best of him,
my uncle was a laugh and i will never forget him,he always used to drink down the duke of wellington and down bedfont football club,he had alot of friends,
he always welcomed anyone into our home,

god saw you were getting tied,
a cure was not ment to be,
so he put his arms around you and whispered come with me,
with broken hearts we loved you,
as we heard you had passed away,
although we loved you deeply we could not make you stay,
your golden heartstopped beating,

miss you loads richard,i was just listening to ub40 and it reminded me of u so i thought i would come on here to say hello and tell you how much we all miss you!hope you aint drivin every1 mad up there and i hope your not drinking too much,i still wont have my pictures developed of u,it frightens me because of how im going to see u in that hospital bed again,all i can remember u as is in that coffin it was horrible,i wish i could be wit u 1 more time to do another wordsearch or cook something or take the piss out of people,sleep tight my uncle richard,love you loads xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
